The Hunt...
HIV
positive Tony De Santos and negative Guy Sutherland want only to live
with each other in peace, happiness and love. But their harmony is
ruptured when a serial killer who becomes known as The Butcher embarks
on a deadly trail through Denver’s homes, streets and parks.
The gruesome death toll rises, and so does anxiety and fear in the
city’s gay community. Tony and Guy do all they can to protect
themselves, yet fate seems eager to cross their path with the killer’s.
Enter Detective Sergeant Lorrayne Lobato. Her challenges are many: The
Butcher, an overbearing superior officer, a homophobic partner on the
force, and keeping her brother, a beloved gay man, out of harm’s way.
With Lobato finally on his trail after dead-ends and false leads, the
killer closes in on Tony and Guy. And then it happens. In dark,
terror-filled hallways of a bathhouse, the lovers and their tormentor
meet for the final struggle.
When the echoes from the dark cry out, who will be heard? The Butcher?
Lobato? Tony and Guy? Or Destiny herself?

The
Hunt...continues
For Tony
De Santos, life has taken a deadly turn at the hands of a Denver serial
killer known as The Butcher. Bitter and hate-filled, he sets out on a
seemingly inescapable path to avenge his lover.
There are those who would try to save him. Detective Sergeant Lorrayne
Lobato has a score herself to settle with The Butcher. And new friend
Bobby, a young man in search of love and direction, has a pure
affection and willingness to help that asks nothing in return.
But in his furious mission to track down The Butcher and minister his
own justice, Tony is beyond their reach. Like a winter in July, his
heart is frozen to the love and warmth of all who want to help.
Mystery and madness build. Who is this Butcher, and why is he on this
murderous rampage? Refusing to be denied, Tony tracks him down. But
then what? Does vengeance bring a cleansed conscience, or
self-destruction as Lobato and Bobby fear?
Tony is about to find out.

Meet
the man behind the novels...
Antonio Marquez was born in Southwestern
Colorado, one of twenty-four children with over two hundred fifty
nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. He now
resides in Denver.
Being diagnosed with HIV in December of 1999 sealed his determination
to help others with this disease. Donating a portion of the proceeds is
his way of giving back what has been so graciously given to him.
With only a sixth grade formal education his writing career has spanned
over twenty years and several novels. Echoes From The Dark, part 1 of
The Hunt first to be published. Look for Winter In July, part 2,
the suspenseful conclusion.
