Editor's Overview
Andrew Barriger, our
erstwhile reporter of the Fairy Factoid, continues to enthrall and
confound us. His reporters are on assignment, so Andy had to fill in
for them this issue. Ken Furtado (Echo
Magazine), Tony Heyes
(England), Lori Lake, and Gary Phillips provide this issue's
wide-ranging book reviews. Patricia Nell Warren once more opens her
vault on "The Secrets of Writing," and we introduce long-time activist,
artist, and feminist, Magie Dominic with her book (Queen of Peace Room), an interview
of her, and a most laudible bio of her life of letters.

It is my pleasure in
this issue to feature the work of Magie Dominic, pictured above, to
give a little additional information about her book The Queen of Peace
Room, as well as to include a short bio and an interview with her. I
think you'll agree that there's much that is essential about her
writing.
Be sure to visit page 2 of this issue, where you can read
her bio and an interview.
You may contact her at this email.

Patricia Nell Warren has again quite graciously allowed The Independent Gay
Writer to
reprint one of her "writing secrets" in this issue. For those of us who
are aspiring writers, this particular piece "Gay
Media Marketing Myths"
should give us much to ponder. Look for more of Ms. Warren's nuggets of
wisdom in coming editions of this newsletter.

Andrew Barriger
|
For something on the
light side, there is always Andrew Barriger's Fairy Factoid. But I wanted to draw
your attention to his upcoming books, Finding
Peace and Ancient Dreams, which is a
follow-on to his already well-received Finding Faith.
Andy
introduces a special edition of The Fairy Factoid in this
issue, timely based upon the recent Supreme Court ruling on sodomy laws
and also timely, as a result of several new television shows making
their premier...
